Well, he IS older... this movie takes place in the 50s to account for the time in between films. He's still doing the majority of his own stunts. The only thing which remotely saddens me is that it'll be harder to keep this particular franchise alive much longer. Had they agreed on a script and such a few years back, we may have made it to Indy 5. Oh well, it still looks superbadass to me. I'll be there. Several times. |

Go see the Rob Zombie's film: Halloween. This movie was A+ excellent, the only word that I can desribe it, is beautiful.this is IF YOU LIKE HORROR...old school horror old school= boobies & knives. Is it like hostel where 1/2 the movie is a porn? No...old school horror, where teenagers are gettin busy and BOOM uh oh! I love how Zombie takes non mainsteam actors and creates this work of art. If you hate Rob Zombie and his previous films, I can understand that...I don't hate em, but I can understand. But give this one a shot, his love for old school horror comes out and he stays true to the roots of John Carpenter. I will go see this again. |

Saw World Trade Center. It was very moving. It also wasn't political at all. Nothing to do with the Bush Administration, terrorists, or war. Just the plain and simple story of the two last people (port authority police officers) to be pulled from the rubble of the towers. I would recommend seeing it to those of you that like disaster movies based on true events. They also didn't show the planes impacting the buildings, just a few clips of real news footage that the characters watched on their tv's.Ok, saw some scenes of Pulse on my breaks. This movie is two stories. The fairytale that he told his children, and the tale of a director getting fed up with everyones crap. If you were disappointed with every movie he's done after the Sixth Sense, you will not like this movie. Unfortunately most people and critics go in to his movies expecting one thing, when the story M. Night is telling is another. They fail to see this other story. I see M. Night as an adult that refused to let his child fantasies go. Ghosts, comic book heroes, aliens, fairy tales. He brings the things that we loved as a kid to life. He puts realism into his movies. At the same time, he puts keys in all his movies to open the door to this fantastical world. The key is almost always faith. Now with that said.Lady in the Water (the fairytale) The story is great. Unfortunately we only know the story from a Korean that Cleveland (lead) has to basically force out of her at different times in the movie. Not only that, her daughter has to translate. M. Night really needs to write a book, because there seems to be a lot to the fairytale that we don't get to see in the movie. It's like the movie is only a few chapters of the book. It's still pretty entertaining, nonetheless. Funny, creepy, emotional, and entertaining. Lots of characters here too. Some seemed to be written for both the fairytale and the directors release, but all necessary for a successful movie. Lady in the Water (Directors Release) I am going to put these in spoilers, cause it's revealing, and not necessary to decide if you want to see the movie or not. Spoiler Alert! Most directors will bend over for the studio execs, and as a result, you get either a bad movie, or a mindless movie. Sure these movies entertain and are fun, but we need variety. These movies are made to make money. That's it. These movies have no morals, and nobody cares what you think about the movie. Heck, they don't even care about the movie. They just want to see dollar signs. M. Night will not bend over for these guys. That's why he's not with Disney anymore. M Night has something to say, and he feels it important to tell us all. He has that right. He also understands that his movies need to entertain. So the message he delivers are subtle. That's why people hate th |
